The Purpose of CLVGS is to promote Genealogy research and education through:

​

a.   The promotion of study and research of Genealogy;

b.   The development and promotion of factual materials related to residents of Las Vegas;

c.   The publication of such material;

d.   Conferences, lectures, workshops and similar gatherings;

e.   The support of any Genealogy library in the northwest Las Vegas area which is open to 

       public;

f.   The promotion of the study of Genealogy by local groups; and

g.   Related activities designed to carry out the basic purposes of the society including, the

       distribution of materials to the Nevada Archives and to organizations that qualify as                exempt organizations under section 501(c)(7).
